I was so excited when Christina G Photography called me from Coeur d'Alene, ID to ask if I'd second shoot a wedding with her at Empire Mine State Park in Grass Valley, which is right down the road from where I live in Nevada City.  I've never shot a wedding at this beautiful venue, so I jumped at the chance-- it's a photographer's dream!!

Months of anticipation passed and June approached; I met Christina at the Holbrooke Hotel in downtown Grass Valley on one of the hottest days of the year.  We were thankful to be inside the historic hotel (not only because the rooms were air-conditioned) but also because the character and charm made getting-ready photos so sweet to photograph.  When I hung out with Josh and his groomsmen, they even crawled inside the claw-foot bathtub for celebration shots and LOTS of laughs-- honestly, I don't think they stopped laughing and smiling the entire time, it was so adorable!  When I made my way over to Samantha's room with her bridesmaids, they were looking beautiful as EVER and I gushed over every single beautiful detail.  One thing I *really* loved about this bridal party was that they were ALL friends, which made the vibe super comfortable and fun.

We left for Empire Mine, and from start to finish, the wedding was flawless and stunning.  Samantha's talented mother, Colette, brought in her vintage collection and decorated the entire reception-- it was AMAZING! <3<3<3  And with outstanding vendors like Thistle & Honey, and Farm to Table Catering the event... the flowers, food and service was perfection.

What a sweet opportunity and day with Christina G Photography, and the entire wedding party.  Every last detail was gorgeous and so much fun to shoot; I also adore the bridal party and bride & groom's portraits... they're some of my personal favorite to date! xoxo
